StartMeApp (http://www.StartMeApp.com) , the leading mobile ad network in Latin America and an emerging mobile advertising innovator worldwide, today announced the hire of former Accenture Senior Management Consultant John Fennessy to lead the company’s Business Development efforts in the European mobile advertising marketplace.
Based in London, Mr. Fennessy will be responsible as Manager of European Business Development for oversight of all operations, business development and client relations with StartMeApp’s growing list of agency and corporate advertising clients in continental Europe, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
“StartMeApp is delighted to welcome John Fennessy to the growing team of talented young business, advertising and technology professionals from around the globe, who are dedicated to the ongoing transformation of StartMeApp into a mobile advertising innovator worldwide,” said Gaston Fonzo, Co-Managing Director and Founder, StartMeApp.

Prior to joining StartMeApp, Mr. Fennessy served as a Senior Consultant with the global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing firm Accenture, where he worked in a variety of positions over a five-year period, focused primarily in the areas of project management and functional/process design with a variety of Accenture’s consumer & technology clients. During that time, he worked both as a management consultant and in a business analyst role on projects spanning Europe, the Middle East and Africa for global technology, consumer and financial services brands that included Microsoft, UBS, Dell and others.
Mr. Fennessy is a graduate of the Manchester Business School, from which he earned a Master’s of Business degree with a concentration in Global Business Strategy. He previously graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Management from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST).
StartMeApp’s appointment of Mr. Fennessy to the position of Manager, European Business Development, follows closely on the company’s announcement of the opening of the mobile ad network’s global headquarters in London by the end of Q-1 2013.
As part of the company’s restructuring of global operations, StartMeApp’s European and other worldwide sales and operations efforts will be coordinated through the new London headquarters, while the mobile ad network’s Latin America regional headquarters, along with LatAm regional sales and operations teams and its global R&D unit, will remain in Buenos Aires.
