Dallas, TX (PRWEB) October 19, 2012
It is official! Multi-talented artist John Ringo inks deal with Texas Based Indie Label R&R Records. “Signing Ringo was a no brainer for me. Not only is he an extremely skilled rapper, but he is also an alternative rock singer. His unique, raspy, smooth rock voice infused with hip hop, pop and soul makes him a force to be reckoned with. We plan on selling tons of records with John Ringo, so my staff and I are extremely excited”, says Romereo Hartfield, CEO of R&R Records.
John Ringo started his musical journey at 17 years-old, as the lead singer of the Rock band, Wilt, which topped the college charts. Always inspired by rap music and being a big fan of the Beastie Boys, Run DMC, Wu Tang Clan, Tupac, and UGK, John Ringo decided to evolve from the Rock music scene and venture off into Hip Hop. Although he was blessed with a dynamic lyrical flow, one cannot classify his sound in just one music genre alone.
From 2006 until now, John Ringo has been featured on several DJ Mixtapes all over the United States and Canada. He released his debut album, “Fu*k Y’all I’m From Texas”, in 2009. The album had several major accomplishments. It gained John Ringo a broad fan base and officially put him and his sound on the map. One of the songs from the album, “South Side”, earned him a feature on Ice Cube’s movie, “Lottery Ticket”. Another song from the album, “Hook’em Horns”, was featured on the television series “CSI Miami” and “Breaking Bad”. The single from the album, “Sweepin Up the Block”, achieved him radio spins on BDS and Mediabase in markets such as Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi and Georgia. Now signed to R&R Records, John Ringo is gearing up to release his much anticipated album entitled, “Scum Patrol”. The title of the release was inspired by the name of his childhood crew growing up in Duncanville, Texas, a suburb less than 20 miles outside of Dallas. “Scum Patrol” and his Rap single, “All Mine”, are both scheduled to drop fourth quarter 2012. R&R Records will also be releasing a new alternative rock single and video on John Ringo entitled “Angel” from his next upcoming album project scheduled to be released early 2013.
