November 10, 2011 — Distinguished trust and estate planning lawyer Jonathan Blattmachr of Eagle River Advisors is to lead an event on a variety of top estate planning strategies for 2011 at the Estate Planning Council of Birmingham on November 11th. The event is part of the Council’s mission to bring together industry insiders interested in best serving forward-thinking clients.
The Estate Planning Council of Birmingham was established in a bid to combine the efforts of attorneys, accountants, trust officers, and life insurance underwriters in the best interests of their clients. High tax rates and increasingly complex tax laws had introduced many new problems of estate conservation and distribution, and the Estate Planning Council was formed to aid the budding field of estate planning was formed in the 1960’s to aid the budding field of estate planning.
The event, “A Potpourri of Effective Estate Planning Strategies for 2011” gives professionals in the field a chance to learn from Mr. Blattmachr’s wide breadth of knowledge and experience as a leader in the industry, having 35 years of experience in trusts and estates and extensively lecturing on estate and trust taxation and charitable giving in addition to authoring or co-authoring five books and over 400 articles on estate planning topics.
Specific topics to be discussed include estate planning strategies in a variety of individual cases, estate and trust taxation and charitable giving.
