Shelvey will have no shortage of fans

Digital Sports Group are today launching the PFA Player Profile of Liverpool Midfielder Jonjo Shelvey. DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their site football.co.uk. It was today the turn of Jonjo Shelvey to see his official PFA Profile.
Shelvey signed for Liverpool in May 2010. He made his debut for the club as an extra-time substitute on 22 September in Liverpool's shock League Cup third-round defeat against Northampton Town. Jonjo started his first game for the club in Liverpool's UEFA Europa League group game against Napoli on the 21st of October 2010, playing the whole 90 minutes. Shelvey was shipped out to Championship side Blackpool on loan on 30th September 2011, he went on to score on his debut in a 5-0 win over Bristol City. He scored his first professional hat-trick against Leeds United in November that same year. He was re-called by Liverpool in November that year due to injury problems in Liverpools' midfield, mainly Steven Gerrard and Lucas Leiva. Jonjo eventually went on to score his first senior goal for Liverpool in a 5-1 win in the FA Cup third round against Oldham Athletic. The 8th of May saw Jonjo score his first Premier League goal, a stunning stirke for 30 yards in a 4-1 win over Chelsea at Anfield. On July 10th, Shelvey signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool. In Liverpool's Europa League game against Young Boys, Shelvey scored 2 goals as Liverpool went on to win 5-3. Shelvey has been capped by England at youth level up to U21 with goals at every age group.
