As someone who has raised two kids, any organization that helps children and families sounded like a good cause to support
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) February 08, 2013
HOUSTON, TX//NEW YORK, NY – February 5, 2013 – Kars 4 Kids, a national non-profit car donation charity, is proud to announce that Spring, TX resident, Jon Milburn is the winner of their $20,000 sweepstakes. As an alternative incentive to donors, Kars 4 Kids offered a unique sweepstakes opportunity this past December, providing donors with the option to enter a sweepstakes for $20,000 instead of receiving the standard vacation voucher.
“As someone who has raised two kids, any organization that helps children and families sounded like a good cause to support,” said Milburn.
Milburn, 59, is a husband and father of two sons, an avid golfer, former college athlete, and self-described “average guy.” He and his family are very involved in providing donations to local and national charities including Golfers Against Cancer, Folds of Honor, and the March of Dimes among other organizations.
Kars 4 Kids accepts all car donations, including those damaged after Hurricane Sandy, via an online form. Within 24 hours of submission, Kars4Kids will arrange a free pickup to donors. All donors receive a 100% tax deductible receipt and vacation voucher as thanks for their generous contribution. This sweepstakes offered donors an opportunity to enter for a chance to win $20,000 instead of accepting a vacation voucher.
“Working with Kars 4 Kids was a very easy and straight forward experience. It was easy to schedule a pick up and get things going,” said Milburn. “My wife and I both work and have limited vacation time together. We figured that we would book a vacation when we wanted, so why not sign up for the sweepstakes instead.”
Kars 4 Kids is a non-profit organization that works to give back to the community through a variety of education, youth development, family outreach, and faith-based programs.
