The Florida statewide community association law firm of Katzman Garfinkel & Berger (KG&B, http://www.kgblawfirm.com) today proudly announced the addition of respected Florida condominium educators Bill and Susan Raphan to the staff of the firm’s new Katzman Garfinkel & Berger Law and Learning Center.

In their new role with KG&B as Statewide Facilitators for Learning Outreach, the Raphans will be creating and teaching a series of courses under the auspices of the Katzman Garfinkel & Berger Law and Learning Center, designed to meet the educational needs of Florida condominium and homeowners’ association (HOA) Board members, as well as Florida-licensed Community Association Managers (CAMs) throughout the State.

The couple join Katzman Garfinkel & Berger from the office of the Florida Condominium Ombudsman, where since 2004 they have been widely recognized for their role in providing condominium Board members with the highest-quality educational seminars on Florida’s condominium legislation and regulatory framework.

“Katzman Garfinkel & Berger is very pleased to welcome Bill and Susan Raphan as Statewide Facilitators for Learning Outreach, further bolstering our longstanding commitment to the education of community association Boards and managers in our State,” said Donna DiMaggio Berger, Managing Partner, Katzman Garfinkel & Berger. “Through the addition of Bill and Susan to our team at the Law and Learning Center, we feel that we truly have taken the firm’s motto of “Committed to Community” one step further, demonstrating our most sincere commitment to the best in community association education statewide.”

The first seminar series to be created and taught by the Raphans under the auspices of the KG&B Law and Learning Center is titled “We Speak Condo” and will provide Florida condominium Board members and CAMs all they need to know to comply with the letter and the spirit of Florida’s Condominium Act and the State’s regulatory framework for condominiums. Already under development is a second series developed and taught by the Raphans that will focus specifically on homeowners’ association (HOA) Board members and managers.

Since its founding in 2007, Katzman Garfinkel & Berger and its Community Advocacy Network (CAN) have emphasized the importance of providing educational opportunities for Boards and managers of community associations statewide through its ongoing and highly successful Board Member Boot Camp® series (http://www.BoardMemberBootCamp.com); the annual Legal Update courses for Florida licensed CAMs, approved by the State’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation; and the firm’s latest DBPR-approved educational offering with CEU credit for CAMS: Survivor: Florida Disaster Preparedness and Recovery Seminar.

Most recently, Katzman Garfinkel & Berger expanded its focus on educational outreach with the opening of the new KG&B Law and Learning Center, a community association reference and education complex replete with classrooms and lending library for Board members and managers, located on a stunning new six-acre campus in Margate, Florida. In addition, the firm recently launched its new series of KG&B Law and Learning Guidebooks, with three titles already available at no charge to community association Board members and managers and additional guidebooks currently under development.

Katzman Garfinkel & Berger is a full-service statewide law firm devoted to all aspects of community association representation, including sophisticated transactional law matters, first party insurance claims and construction defect cases. The firm is unique in advancing all fees and costs for its association clients to pursue delinquent assessments, and also handles property damage claims against insurance companies and most construction defect claims against developers on a pure contingency basis.

Named as one of the “Best Places to Work” in 2009 by the South Florida Business Journal, Katzman Garfinkel & Berger has also been designated as "One of the Most Distinguished Law Firms in America" by Martindale-Hubbell, a peer review rating system spanning more than a century of service evaluating American Law Firms.
