Blending clean lines, comfort, and efficiency with our distinct Hawaiian classic flair creates a simple elegance, functional yet beautiful.
Poipu, HI (PRWEB) May 04, 2011
On the heels of their 20th Anniversary the completion of a major guestroom revamp at Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa is reason to celebrate. All guestrooms at the 602-room Kauai, Hawaii resort feature completely new furniture, décor, and bathrooms. The guestroom’s fresh new look is reflective of the resort’s renowned Hawaiian Classic style of graceful elegance.
Creating a personal retreat for guests, design elements in the rooms reflect the roots of Hawaii’s plants, people and culture. The exclusive carved headboard portrays the native hapu'u fern which was used by ancient Hawaiians for pillows and bedding. Mahogany furniture adds rich earth tones while linens, inspired by traditional kapa cloth prints, complement the warm hues. Stylized artwork pays homage to ancient Petroglyphs found in sandstone adjacent to the resort.
Bringing the resort’s pervasive sense of style to new heights, additions to the rooms include a white marble tiled entryway, spacious walk-in showers for most rooms with a King sized bed and new shower bath combos for rooms with two Queen beds, all feature luxurious rain style showers. Bathrooms include marble countertops with double sink vanity and all the amenities of home. A granite top dry bar houses the safe and refrigerator and provides an area for coffee and tea making. The addition of an audio-visual jack pack makes charging electronic devices convenient and connecting to the television to view vacation pictures a breeze.
Rooms are designed to maximize guest comfort and convenience while advancing the resort’s conservation efforts. Adding to the resort’s list of environmental initiatives the renovation included Toto low-flow toilets, low VOC paints, recycled yarn carpet, and energy-saving ceiling fans. “Blending clean lines, comfort, and efficiency with our distinct Hawaiian classic flair creates a simple elegance, functional yet beautiful,” stated Doug Sears, general manager.
To celebrate the renovation and their 20th anniversary the resort created a special package for 2011, 20 Years of Sunshine on Sale. With it receive your fifth night free, breakfast buffet for two, $20 resort credit per night, and 20% off at Anara Spa and Poipu Bay Golf Course. The resort’s expert mixologists then created the perfect drink with which to toast. The 20th Anniversary Koloa Sugar Mill honors the area’s history as a sugar plantation with a light and fresh mix of perfectly blended guava and passion fruit juice with Koloa Dark Rum, made on Kauai, topped with a li hing mui sugared rim. Perfect for pool lounging, sunset watching or star gazing.
