San Francisco, Calif. (PRWEB) August 27, 2012
Kenshoo (http://www.Kenshoo.com), a global leader in digital marketing software, today announced the appointment of Peter O’Sullivan as vice president of sales for Kenshoo Social.
In his new role, O’Sullivan will lead all aspects of sales for the global social marketing platform that enables advertisers and agencies to capture the full value from social media and achieve tangible business results. Key responsibilities for O’Sullivan will include identifying strategic growth opportunities and providing sales leadership as well as further expanding Kenshoo Social’s footprint across geographies and global offices in the Americas, Asia and Europe.
O’Sullivan brings nearly two decades of successful sales leadership and business development experience with such leading technology companies as Google, Geocities and Ziff-Davis. Prior to joining Kenshoo Social, he led the sales, account management, marketing and research teams at Twelvefold Media (formerly BuzzLogic, an advertising and technology company that helps companies target, reach and engage their audiences online), where he began as vice president of sales in January 2010 before being named chief revenue officer in January 2011. Before that, he directed the west coast advertising operations of Google Inc., where he successfully launched and managed five sales territories and grew advertising revenue from $19 million in 2001 to $250 million in 2006. Prior to joining Google, he held strategic sales and business development roles at Geocities, Inc., Internet Appliance Network and Ziff-Davis.
“I’m joining Kenshoo Social at an exciting time, with demand for simplified and automated social media advertising technologies growing rapidly,” O’Sullivan said. “Advertisers and agencies throughout the world are increasingly seeking ways to achieve measurable business results from social media, and my goal is to make sure Kenshoo Social empowers them to do exactly that in every market.”
“Peter’s proven success in motivating sales teams and monetizing innovative technologies makes him the perfect choice to lead the Kenshoo Social sales team,” said Sivan Metzger, general manager, Kenshoo Social. “Kenshoo Social helps marketers create and optimize their global social advertising campaigns, and Peter’s experience in building and scaling superior sales and support teams from the ground up will be a key asset to Kenshoo Social.”
O’Sullivan’s appointment as vice president of sales marks Kenshoo Social’s latest investment in strengthening its global presence. The company recently hired Patience Elfving as director of business relationships and partnerships, Paul Kogan as director of U.S. east coast sales and Brian Quinn as director of U.S. west coast sales and also appointed Todd Herrold senior director, product marketing.
