Sacramento personal injury and class action firm Kershaw, Cutter & Ratinoff proudly announces the addition of recent University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law graduate Lauren A. Manning as their newest associate attorney.
Ms. Manning proved to be a valuable asset to the firm while working as a law clerk during a recent trial that resulted in a jury verdict win, involving a young woman who was rendered a paraplegic due to U.C. Davis Medical Center's failure to diagnose a tumor on her spine. Ms. Manning worked alongside partners Brooks Cutter and Eric Ratinoff, and associate attorney J.R. Parker, to obtain $7.6 million on the young paraplegic woman's behalf, which is believed to be the highest medical malpractice jury verdict in Sacramento County history.
Ms. Manning came to Kershaw, Cutter & Ratinoff with a stellar academic history. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in legal studies in only three years from the University of California at Santa Cruz before returning to Sacramento to study at McGeorge School of Law. While at McGeorge, she participated in a legal exchange program at Oxford University in England, became the Primary Comment Editor for the McGeorge Law Review, earned two Witkin Awards, as well as the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award for the class of 2011, and graduated from McGeorge with Great Distinction and in the Order of the Coif.
Having now passed the Bar exam, she will continue to assist the legal team at Kershaw, Cutter & Ratinoff as an associate attorney with a variety of personal injury lawsuits, employment cases, consumer class actions and mass torts.
Kershaw, Cutter & Ratinoff represents individuals and businesses in personal injury lawsuits, insurance bad faith cases, product liability cases and class action lawsuits. They have demonstrated their ability to devote substantial resources in automobile and motorcycle accidents, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, Qui Tam lawsuits, consumer fraud, consumer privacy issues, defective medical devices and wage and hour lawsuits, generating hundreds of millions of dollars in recoveries for their clients and the classes they have represented.
