Key West, FL (PRWEB) June 18, 2012
Key West Seaplanes, the region's premiere seaplane charter company expands its LGBT - friendly fleet with an official dedication event.
On site for the branding of the newest seaplane with the Key West Business Guild/Pride logo was aircraft owner, Julie Ann Floyd as well as Catherine Vogel, candidate for Florida State Attorney. Other guests included Peter Arnow of the Key West Business Guild and Nikali Pontecorvo, co-owner of Key West Seaplanes and dedicated Key West Business Guild member.
Julie Ann Floyd officially affixed the Key West Business Guild decal to her newest aircraft. Floyd is also a proud Board member of the Key West Business Guild and a strong supporter of the group and its endeavors. As a female seaplane pilot she also owns and operates all the aircraft for Key West Seaplanes and offers "All Women" flights for those wishing to celebrate a flight with a female pilot. (Of course, the company also offers "All Men" flights complete with a male pilot as well).
Immediately following this dedication, Catherine Vogel, candidate for Florida State Attorney and one of the Key West Business Guild's newest members went for a seaplane sightseeing flight along with her husband. The events were all captured by avid photographer and long term Key West Business Guild member, Peter Arnow.
This newest seaplane is a custom-designed and custom-built seaplane. It was built to the exact specifications of Key West Seaplanes with numerous modifications to improve safety, performance and comfort. In March, this aircraft was just named "Seaplane Grand Champion" at the 38th Annual Sun N Fun International Fly-In and Expo held in Lakeland, Florida. Aircraft owner Julie Ann Floyd was at the event to accept this outstanding accolade.
Floyd and Pontecorvo are co-owners of Key West Seaplanes, the region's premiere private seaplane charter company. Seaplane flights to Little Palm Island rank high on the the list of the most popular charters for the company. Pontecorvo says "If you are looking for the most exclusive and private of all destinations, Little Palm Island really fits the bill...and what better way to get there than by your own private luxury seaplane charter?". He also adds that the "...charter flights can originate anywhere on the mainland such as Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Naples, Orlando or anywhere along The Keys". The company's seaplanes are amphibious, meaning they can land on water as well as on land, thus making them very versatile for starting travel from a large land-based airport such as Miami International or smaller regional airports such as the nearby Tamiami airport.
Floyd reminds all that "We also offer amazing private island excursions where couples can spend quiet time alone....or even get away for their Key West Seaplane wedding or commitment ceremony". She excitedly adds, "Imagine a little private tropical island hidden away in The Keys with just the two of you, a seaplane and your pilot performing your commitment ceremony...it just doesn't get any more romantic than that!". For those not yet ready to commit, many use these excursions for their private engagement or proposal.
Key West Seaplanes offers flights throughout the state of Florida and beyond, The Keys as well as Seaplanes to The Bahamas and Caribbean. The company looks to expand service into Cuba in the future.
