Day 1 - Fly into Chicago and spend the night in a downtown hotel.
Day 2 - Pick up the RV at the Chicago RV Depot and drive to St. Josephs, Michigan on the shores of Lake Michigan for brilliant sunsets.
Day 3 - Head south to Charleston, the State Capital of West Virginia and home of Daniel Boone, the famous American pioneer and folk hero.
Day 4 - Explore West Virginia and its famous Civil War Sites, in particular Beckley.
Day 5 - Heading north west, spend a day exploring the majestic Shenandoah National Park famous for its magnificent views.
Day 6 - Spend the night at Harpers Ferry where the infamous John Brown raided the US arsenal in 1859 during the height of the Civil war.
Day 7 - One of the highlights of the tour is the famous Gettysburg battlefield site, where Abraham Lincoln gave the famous Gettysburg address.
Day 8 - Towards the birthplace of America and the original capital city, Philadelphia.
Day 9 - Explore Philadelphia, the Liberty Bell and the Declaration of Independence.
Day 8 - 10 - Motor over to Washington, visiting the White House, Capitol Hill, the Lincoln Memorial, Arlington Cemetery and any of the countless museums.
Day 11 - Head south towards Richmond, the capital of the Civil War Confederacy.
Day 12 - A day at Colonial Williamsburg, the perfect preserved American colonial town.
Day 13 - Return to Washington DC to drop off the RV.
