SAN MATEO, Calif. (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) December 4, 2008 --
Keynote® Systems (Nasdaq:KEYN), the global leader in on-demand mobile
and Internet
test & measurement solutions for continuously improving the online
experience, today announced that it has made testing from the cloud
easier than ever with new 1-click functionality from KITE, Keynote
Internet Testing Environment. KITE is Keynote’s free desktop product for
testing and analyzing the performance of Web sites and applications
across the Internet cloud. KITE makes it easy for all Web teams to
optimize Web site performance just in time for the trying 2009 holiday
season.
“We’ve done for cloud testing what Amazon did for online shopping,” said
Vik Chaudhary, vice president of product management and corporate
development at Keynote. “Now, with 1-click functionality, anyone can
determine the performance of a Web site from around the world.”
Users will also be able to use Keynote’s cloud storage to store the 20
most recently executed performance test scripts for reporting and
analysis. Other new KITE features enable users to build and share
scripts and performance results with their colleagues and across teams
via email, Facebook and iGoogle and across multiple file formats.
“We’re proud of the fact that developers and Web teams turn to us for
insight into how their applications are performing and how end users
experience them,” said Vik Chaudhary. “We already offer the largest
and most accurate real-time test & measurement infrastructure in
the world. Now, we also offer a rich and easy-to-use instant testing
tool backed by the power of our global test & measurement network.”
Keynote recently announced it was opening
its cloud infrastructure to anyone, offering KITE for free download
at http://kite.keynote.com.
With the increasing complexity of Web 2.0 applications combined with a
lack of interoperability standards, huge amounts of proprietary code and
new Internet computing models like Cloud Computing, Web teams are facing
new operational nightmares. KITE enables those teams to maximize their
resources and keep up with rapid development and deployment cycles,
offering real time performance testing and analysis of complex Web 2.0
applications for immediate performance feedback. The solution helps
identify the root cause of performance issues instantly, reducing costly
mistakes in production.
