All dental care services will be provided free of charge for uninsured and undocumented children on Sunday, September 9, 2012. Kids Dental Kare, the leading pediatric dental care provider in the Los Angeles area, will be providing dental examinations and procedures for children in need, including those without health coverage due to financial hardship or immigration status.
Dr. Jerry Lanier, founder and owner of Kids Dental Kare, created this event in order to help those kids that find themselves unable to receive dental care due to various circumstances. "It doesn't matter if the kids are aliens from outer space, I want to help all of them," explains Dr. Lanier. "To me, kids are just kids, and I don't want them living in pain."
Kids Dental Kare will attempt to treat as many underprivileged children as possible on September 9th free of charge. “We’ll try to provide as much treatment as possible within realistic time constraints on that day. We have to keep things moving quickly, especially if many people are waiting for treatment,” explains Dr. Lanier.
If necessary in certain cases, Kids Dental Kare will also offer follow-up, post-operative care to those treated if it is connected with the treatment performed on that day.
Volunteer dentists and staff will be on hand at the Kids Dental Kare location in East Los Angeles to provide free dental care for all children under the age of eighteen. Parents are encouraged to bring their children on Sunday September 9, 2012 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6p.m. to Kids Dental Kare - 4900 Whittier Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90022
