It inspires me to keep going, because I know that I’m making a difference in this world, and that I’m helping change it for the better.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 20, 2014

This weekend fifty-six girls, representing their countries of heritage or birth, graced the stage of the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills to support UNESCO’s global education programs in Infinity Media’s Queen of the Universe Pageant. Though, only one can walk away with the crown, Kim MacKenzie, Miss Norway 2014, walked away with the Charity and Queen of the Universe Awards this Sunday.

“I’m so honored to have won those two awards, in specific,” Kim MacKenzie, Miss Norway 2014 declares, “Being recognized for the work I’ve done to inspire a healthy body image as a WEGO Health Advocate, raise awareness for eating disorders with the National Eating Disorder Association, promote arts education with Free Arts, and teach kids entrepreneurship skills as a Spark mentor, is amazing! It inspires me to keep going, because I know that I’m making a difference in this world, and that I’m helping change it for the better.”

Kim continues on her charitable path as Miss Norway in a few weeks, as she prepares to run the Hollywood Half Marathon on April 5, 2014, to raise funds for Spark LA. She will also be appearing on the All Shapes and Sizes Panel at the Pop Stuff Expo on May 10, 2014 to discuss body image and women’s issues in entertainment.

“I hope to leave a legacy of service. That’s what I feel is the biggest problem in our society today: a lack of service. And, it’s not just in doing charity work that we serve,” Kim explains, “We can serve everyday in our jobs and careers. That’s what I try to do. Whether I’m helping people relieve back pain across America with my company’s back stretching chair The Body Archer®, or inspiring kids to not succumb to peer pressure like I did in my film, BRO’, it’s all service. Everyday we can help someone, somewhere, learn how to live happier, healthier, better lives.”

Kim MacKenzie is a Burbank-born screenwriter, producer, actress, and multi-passionate entrepreneur. As president and spokeswoman for The Body Archer®, Kim helps millions of Americans relieve back pain with her company’s doctor-recommended back stretching chair. Nominated for three WEGO Health Activist Awards, her writing on healthy living has been featured in Spafinder Wellness 365, Classtivity, Become Natural, Hearts of Gold, and The Care Co. Kim has also permeated the entertainment industry as a screenwriter, actress, and producer. Her film BRO’ starring Danny Trejo was distributed by Lionsgate in December 2012.
