The five surviving salons will then compete in the final battle at The Joint, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, for the title of Battle of the Strands Xtreme Salon Champion.

Vegas Beauty Unbound, producer of Battle of the Strands is proud to announce that Stylin’ for a Cure & Plush Salon are among the top teams that have qualified for the online voting round of Battle of the Strands 2012: Xtreme Beauty.

Battle of the Strands, hosted by master colorist, Kim Vō, is the most epic salon competition in history. Selected from a pool of entries from across the country, 22 salons have made it to the top to battle it out in the first round of eliminations online, to select only 10 teams who will be flown to Las Vegas, all-expenses paid.

All of the selected teams will have their complete profile, photos & video at the Battle of the Strands website for the elimination judges and America to see. Each of the teams will submit more information to be posted on their section of the website to show how extreme and exceptionally talented they are. Votes garnered will represent only 40% of their final points as 60% will come from a panel of judges who may choose to interview the teams through Skype, to determine the final 10.

These 10 teams of semi-finalists will compete in head-to-head challenges that will test their creativity, resourcefulness, and teamwork in the areas of hair, makeup, and the creation of beauty. The five surviving salons will then compete in the final battle at The Joint, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, for the title of Battle of the Strands Xtreme Salon Champion.

Stylin’ for a Cure is on a mission to support the cancer organizations in their city. All three team member’s lives have been touched by cancer either personally or in their family or friends. Their team find inspiration for their work in everyday life and living.

The Plush Dolls are ready to eat, sleep, and dream hair & makeup to get ready for Battle of the Strands. They welcome the freedom to be creative. One of their biggest inspirations is Tabatha Coffey and they strive for her level of accomplishment.

The complete profile of Stylin’ for a Cure & Plush Salon, and the other teams that made it to the online elimination round can be viewed on August 29 at the Battle of the Strands website, voting also begins on the same day.

From October 20-22, 2012, Vegas Beauty Unbound will descend on Las Vegas to create a conscious awareness of the transforming Beauty Industry.
