This holiday shopping season of 2012 has been full of Kindle Fire deals. The first was in early November, prior to Black Friday by Amazon.com Inc. This lasted only a short period and not many people were able to take advantage of it. Then on Black Friday, several stores like BestBuy and Staples offered gift cards with the purchase of a Kindle Fire. The purchase required payment of the full price, however, the gift card made it feel like a considerable discount. The third major Kindle Fire sale was on Cyber Monday 2012. Again, this was on the 2nd generation 8GB Kindle Fire. This was not the Kindle Fire HD (high definition) version. The Kindle Fire HD finally went on sale on Green Monday. This was however on the 8.9” Kindle Fire HD tablet. The savings were $50 on the 16GB version as well as the 32GB version. The 7” tablet did not go on sale on Green Monday.
At the time of publishing this, several models of the Kindle Fire tablet are on sale by multiple stores. Some deals are online while others are in-store. A daily updated list of the latest Kindle Fire deals can be found on http://TabletXRay.com/category/Deals-of-the-Day/.
Of these, the most popular deal is bound to be the $25 off Kindle Fire HD 7” deal. However this deal is kind of hidden and cannot be found on the regular product sales page. More details on this special offer can be found on http://TabletXRay.com/25-off-the-7-inch-Kindle-Fire-HD/.
In addition to the above deal, the 8.9” Kindle Fire HD is also on sale with $50 savings. The non-HD version of the tablet, the 2nd generation version, is also on sale by two other stores. One is an in-store deal only and cannot be purchased online. The other is on refurbished Kindle Fire tablets and may not be for everybody. However, it is sold as certified refurbished and some buyers may be attracted to the steep discount. All these deals can be found on the homepage of http://TabletXRay.com/.
In addition to publishing on the latest sales and deals on tablet computers such as the Kindle Fire, they have also published many reviews on different tablet computers as well as comparisons of the leading tablets. One such popular comparison right now is the Kindle Fire HD vs iPad Mini comparison which is a useful read for anyone interested in purchasing a Kindle Fire or Apple iPad. This comparison is unique in that it separates technical specifications on the Amazon tablet and iPad as the more important ones and less important ones. The authors emphasize that certain specs are more important than the others, and that therefore different features have to be assigned a different weightage in order to do a fair comparison between the two tablets. With such an approach, they propose 5 features that they say are the most important features to consider. Some of these features are stronger on the Kindle Fire HD while others are stronger on the Apple iPad Mini. The ultimate decision on which tablet suits one best depends on which of these features are more important to the buyer.
