Kitchen Science Wins Best Retail Category at NMA Effectiveness Awards

Kitchen Science, the UK’s largest online only kitchen
appliances retailer, has been awarded with the prestigious NMA
Effectiveness Award for Best Retail site at the Grosvenor House Hotel,
London. The 10th Annual NMA (New Media Age)
Effectiveness Awards recognise websites’
achievements with regards to understanding and implementing new media
into a practical format.
From over 500 entries, the NMA panel of judges, which included senior
executives from MSN, NatWest and Sky Digital Media, short listed 64
sites across all categories, with Kitchen Science amongst the 3
competing for the Best Retail site. On winning the award the judging
panel commented that the Kitchen Science site was “well
thought through” and agreed that “a
strong brand had been created whilst driving excellent sales during a
short time period.”
The award also recognised the importance Kitchen Science has placed on
the human experience of buying online, ensuring all its customer service
centre agents have been trained by the manufacturer and are product and
service experts. Coupled with the fantastic functionality the site
offers it has proven a winning combination.
Managing Director Ryan Thomas, who picked up the prize on behalf of the
