Who Said Eggs Had to be Boring? Make Eggs Eggciting!
Who said eggs had to be boring? It's time to put the egg back into eggcitement. The Chefs Toolbox has come up with a way to make eggs fun for children without any added preservatives or colors. These square and oval egg rings turn a nutritional breakfast into a fun gourmet adventure.
Sydney, NSW (PRWEB) November 15, 2007 -- Many children are under the impression that eggs are gooey, disgusting and not as much fun as the brightly-packaged, sugary breakfast cereals that come with free toys. These cute and colourful silicone rings are fun and safe for children to use under adult supervision. What six year old could resist the lure of a sunny-side up square egg on toast? Or how about some square pancakes, hash browns or a frittata? With a responsible adult's help, this could be a recipe for endless breakfasts in bed.
A study by the Victorian Government shows that 20 per cent of school children skip breakfast on a regular basis. Kids need foods that are high in protein and fibre to boost their metabolism and to keep them going until lunch time.
Eggs are known as a brain food because they contain phospholipids, smart fats that enhance your concentration and mental performance. Eggs are a low-energy, high-protein source of vitamins and minerals. Each egg provides approximately 13.3g of protein, almost 50% of the daily protein requirement for children aged 4-10.
The silicone egg rings come in packs of six, including three orange square rings and three blue oval rings. They are available for RRP $20.00 for a pack of 6 from The Chefs Toolbox's online store: www.chefstoolbox.com.au.
