KnowledgeLake Releases Content Migration Suite for IBM FileNet
KnowledgeLake Enables Customers to Migrate Mission Critical IBM
FileNet Content to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007
SEATTLE (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) March 2, 2008 --
KnowledgeLake Inc., a leading provider of Enterprise Content Management
(ECM) solutions for Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies,
today announced the release of the KnowledgeLake Content Migration Suite
(CMS) for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
KnowledgeLake CMS is a suite of applications designed to provide a
structured and auditable migration process for loading high volumes of
electronic content from legacy ECM systems directly into SharePoint
Server 2007. The true value of CMS, however, lies not only in the
technology itself, but in the proven high-volume migration methodologies
designed and used by KnowledgeLake’s Business
Solutions Group (BSG).
KnowledgeLake is initially launching the Content Migration Suite (CMS)
specifically targeting IBM FileNet repositories. In the coming months
additional offerings for many other legacy repositories that have
already been developed and tested will be released.
At the core of the CMS product is KnowledgeLake’s
highly prized intellectual property for high-speed content loading to
SharePoint Server 2007. CMS is already in use with customers and most
recently used for Microsoft internal scalability testing on FileNet
content migration. The results of the testing were dramatic resulting in
2.5 million documents a day per SharePoint Server 2007 Front End. The
testing proved that Microsoft and KnowledgeLake exceed the ECM
scalability requirements for any enterprise organization.
“We are very excited about the launch of
KnowledgeLake CMS,” said Ron Cameron,
President of KnowledgeLake. “We are now
proving over and over that SharePoint Server 2007 has the scalability
and the features to replace any legacy ECM application. We feel great
because our customers are saving millions of dollars by replacing these
expensive and outdated applications. SharePoint Server 2007 is a
platform that can be trusted with mission critical content…
and it’s affordable enough for most any
organization.”
“We are pleased to see experienced partners
like KnowledgeLake bringing industry leading ECM solutions to the
SharePoint Products and Technologies platform,”
said Tom Rizzo, Director of SharePoint at Microsoft. “KnowledgeLake
has helped hundreds of thousands of information workers build and deploy
ECM solutions on SharePoint Products and Technologies since 2004.”
KnowledgeLake CMS for IBM FileNet is available now, with additional
repository support coming early summer 2008. KnowledgeLake, a Microsoft
Gold Certified Independent Software Vendor (ISV), provides document
capture and imaging products that seamlessly integrate with SharePoint
Server 2007.
KnowledgeLake products provide an out-of-the-box solution that is
customizable to meet individual customer requirements. The software
enables users to scan documents directly into the SharePoint Server 2007
document repository utilizing a familiar interface, which mirrors that
of the Microsoft Office 2007 system.
