KnowledgeTree, the leading provider of Open Source document management software for teams and small to medium-sized organizations, today announced the availability of a new flexible product offering, differentiated by functionality and varying professional support levels across three product tiers. The latest version of the product line also features a number of functionality enhancements, including compatibility with Microsoft Office 2007.

KnowledgeTree's commercial subscription offering is now licensed on a per user basis, providing a low entry point for new customers and allowing customer organization's to grow their investment in the product only when they need to. The product now also features three subscription tiers, with the Premium tier offering enhanced functionality and a 4-business hour response time for European customers. The same response time will be extended to North American customers in the third quarter of 2008.

The certified and professionally supported editions of KnowledgeTree 3.5, available immediately from the KnowledgeTree website, introduce powerful new Web Services-accessible document search functionality based on the Apache Lucene project, full PHP 5 compatibility, custom document numbering capabilities, online visual comparison of document versions, and support for Microsoft Office 2007 file formats and plugins for the Office 2007 versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

KnowledgeTree's simplicity, ease of use and high value are appreciated by users in small and large organizations alike.
