Know Your Man, a website for women, will debut on February 14th, for those looking for love on Valentine's Day, it was announced by Co-founders, Rick Henkin and Karl Kasca, both of whom are married.

Know Your Man is designed to simplify online dating and help empower women with the tools for smart and safe dating decisions.

In the company's preliminary online dating research:

  • 52% of surveyors confessed to "Googling" a prospective date.
  • 41% used Facebook to snoop around their date's information and check out photos.
  • 81% of Millenials "check out" their dates via Google or Facebook.
  • 1 in 10 responded that they know "everything" about their potential suitor prior to their first date.

Part social media aggregator, part online dating sleuth, part crusader for women's safety, Know Your Man debuts with the tagline "The things you really want to know." It offers the convenience of combining multiple social media sources to answer varied questions such as "Is he employed?,” “What are his interests?,” “Is he married?,” and over 60 more categories, in one time-saving place.

According to Co-Founder, Rick Henkin, "Know Your Man helps women make informed choices about the men they’re dating. It all comes down to honesty, safety and compatibility. The changing landscape of online dating now gives women the upper hand.”

As the latest addition to the web's arsenal of social media tools, Know Your Man offers some new and promising things:
Facial Analysis- a woman can find out instantly if she and the man she’s dating are compatible. This feature addresses the overwhelming concern of whether looking good on paper translates to in-person chemistry. An even more elusive question is “Just because he looks good in person, is he good for you?”
How-to Videos- discover how-to videos that show a woman how to conduct more in-depth research online on a variety of topics, such as “How to Know Your Man’s Salary,” “How to Know Your Man’s Age, Birthday, and Date of Birth,” and “How to Know the Meaning of Your Man’s Name and Your Compatibility.”

In this well-populated niche, Know Your Man is designed to address the following:

  • 66% of respondents say they are concerned that the date they get online won’t have the “face-to-face spark” that they were hoping for.
  • 58% of women surveyed worry about the date looking different from his profile picture.
  • 32% suspect that their prospective date may be lying about his or her age.
  • Nearly one-half (47%) of Millenials admitted to changing their Facebook profiles to seem more mysterious to a potential date.

Although Know Your Man does not conduct background checks, it does sophisticated advanced searches of social media sites, profiles, and other websites to give women insights into those things they really want to know regarding the man they're about to date or marry.

With so much information available at the click of a button, as well as the ongoing efforts to level the playing field of equality in the battle of the sexes, Know Your Man may soon be considered the social media white knight.
