Nike Softball Camp at Southeastern University will offer an elite camp program scheduled June 15-19 for girls ages 13-18 and a general skills camp, set to run June 23-26 for girls ages 8-13. Both programs share the camp's goal of taking each camper’s game to the next level.
Coach Welsh has run over 60 camps and clinics and knows how to make camp competitive, educational and fun. She became the first softball coach in Southeastern University history on July 1, 2012. She comes to The Fire with an impressive resume and the experience of building a nationally recognized women’s softball program.
“Coach Welsh runs a top notch camp,” states Mike de Surville, Vice President of US Sports Camps. “She guarantees players will leave camp as better students of the game and a better understanding of what it takes to improve on and off the field.”
Nike Softball Camps provide focused, intensive training that is essential to improvement for all skill levels. Every facet of the game is covered with an emphasis on fundamentals to help players become valuable team members. At each location, campers are broken into groups with other players of similar age, abilities and goals. Each camp director does their best to advance players to the next level, with consideration given to each camper’s experience and desire to improve.
