AUSTIN, TEXAS (PRWEB) April 15, 2013
Austin Oral Surgery has made a donation to Children at Heart Ministries through its 20th annual Golf Marathon event, where participants play 100 holes of golf in a single day.
The Golf Marathon’s goal is to raise $166,000 to help Children at Heart Ministries serve children and strengthen families in Central Texas through the Texas Baptist Children’s Home and STARRY in Round Rock, the Miracle Farm in Brenham and Gracewood in Houston.
“We’re proud to be able to support this worthy cause,” said Dr. Russell D. Cunningham, Austin Oral Surgery’s Lakeway dental implants surgeon. “Children at Heart Ministries serves children who are facing crisis, whether that be abuse, neglect, abandonment or something else. By providing these children with the stability they need, Children at Heart Ministries is able to help them move past a difficult time in their lives and go on to be healthy, responsible adults.”
The Golf Marathon will be held on April 22, which means community members still have an opportunity to sponsor a participant by clicking here. According to Children at Heart Ministries, 100 percent of the money donated at this event will go directly to helping children because the event’s costs are underwritten by corporate sponsors.
