On May 23, the LA movies in the park company Eat|See|Hear revealed exciting new features for The Princess Bride event to take place on Saturday, May 25 at Santa Monica High School. Popular food truck Coolhaus will make an appearance and delight fans with its ice cream flavor/sammie combo Bourbon Butterscotch ‘scream sandwiched between two peanut butter Cap’n Crunch cookies! Food truck Brasil Kiss will proudly serve Intelligentsia Direct Trade Black Cat Espresso, or another coffee/tea beverage that fans desire. In addition, the SLURPEE Truck will be on site giving out free SLURPEES to passers-by! The band Derde Verde, presented by Oragami Vinyl, will be at the event to entertain guests with live music and the other food trucks available that same night will include Schmuck Truck, MOEggrolls, India Jones, Bun Truck, and My Delight Cupcakery.
For those interested in The Princess Bride outdoor movie event on May 25, it will take place at the Santa Monica High School baseball field (601 Pico Blvd Santa Monica, CA 90405). Guests should enter through the walkway on 4th Street located between the track and the DoubleTree Hotel and parking will be available across the street at the Civic Center Parking Structure (333 Civic Center Dr). Bikers will have on-site bike parking (locks are encouraged) and of course, all guests are more than welcome to bring their pets.
“This will be a fun night,” says Eat|See|Hear Co-Owner Sharon Sperber. “The Princess Bride is loved by a lot of people, and I think they will be as excited to see it on the big screen as we will be to show it.” There are three ticket options for this event: general admission tickets for $10, popchips-sponsored, premium seating tickets for $20 and a limited number of passes available at the door will sell for $12.
Eat|See|Hear is LA’s premier outdoor movie, food truck and live music series that brings an evening of fun to Los Angeles-area venues each summer. The second annual series is presented by SHOWTIME, featuring up and coming bands from the local music scene, the hottest food trucks and the only 3-story high, 52-foot wide inflatable movie screen west of the Mississippi with the highest quality HD-projection and digital surround sound.
