For traditional Thanksgiving dinners, a four-course meal will be offered in the resort's signature restaurant, On the Potomac, from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Entrees include free-range turkey and Black Angus prime rib, fresh pecan-crusted rainbow trout and house-smoked Berkshire ham. A Thanksgiving buffet dinner will be served in the Riverside Hearth from noon to 5 p.m. Traditional fare will be served, as well as additional favorites including prime rib roast from the carving board, antipasto selection and a bountiful dessert buffet. On consecutive Saturdays, Dec. 13 and 20, gingerbread house decorating will be offered for kids of all ages - parents and grandparents included - from 9 a.m. to noon. The Lansdowne culinary team will conduct a hands-on lesson for how to make and decorate a personal gingerbread creation. Each "house" also comes with a disposable camera for guests to capture the experience! Prices (exclusive of tax): $68 per gingerbread house for two people. Lunch with Santa will be served on two consecutive Saturdays, following gingerbread house making, starting at noon and continuing until 3 p.m. in the Riverside Hearth. Christmas Eve will be celebrated with a special dinner buffet in the Riverside Hearth from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Cookies to go are included. Christmas Day Brunch also will be served in the Riverside Hearth, On the Potomac and Waterfall Terrace from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is priced the same as Christmas Eve. Enjoy breakfast favorites, waffles, omelets, bacon and sausage, as well seafood and raw bar, soup, salads, carving stations and a selection of mouth-watering desserts from the pastry chef. Or, choose to celebrate the day with a four-course menu at On the Potomac, served from 3 to 8 p.m. Offerings include lobster bisque, grilled Atlantic salmon, tenderloin of Hereford beef and seasonal dessert favorites including pear strudel, warm chocolate espresso "soufflé" cake and apple-cinnamon bread pudding.

New Year's Eve will be celebrated in On the Potomac with a four-course dinner menu serviced from 5:30 to 10 p.m. A jazz pianist will entertain from 6 to 10 p.m. Prices (exclusive of tax and gratuity): $125 for adults; $15 for children six to 12; children five and under are free. In addition to this lineup of programs and fine dining, the resort's popular "Home for the Holidays" rooms package is available for $129 per room, per night based on availability during the dates of Nov. 21-29 and Dec. 19 to Jan. 3, 2009.
