“It’s inspiring to hear how schools are using their fundraising dollars," said Adam Weil, director of School Uniforms, Lands’ End. We’re thrilled that our ‘Double the Difference’ sweepstakes can provide additional resources for such worthy endeavors.”

At a time when many schools are still facing budget cuts, Lands’ End is stepping up to help schools raise funds with its commitment to give back $1 million to schools in 2010. Lands’ End today announced the four winning schools for the “Double the Difference” sweepstakes. The winning schools are:

  •     Park Maitland School, Maitland, Fla.
  • Midvale Elementary, Madison, Wis.
  • New Boston Central School, New Boston, N.H.
  • St. Francis of Assisi School, Pikeville, Ky.

During the month of March, Lands’ End gave schools around the nation a chance to win money just by telling the company how they use their fundraising dollars. Four winning schools were randomly selected from all submitted entries to double their fundraising efforts up to $1,500 per school.

“It’s inspiring to hear how schools are using their fundraising dollars. Some are taking field trips or buying much-needed science equipment. Others are supporting scholarship programs for families in need,” said Adam Weil, director of School Uniforms, Lands’ End. “We’re thrilled that our ‘Double the Difference’ sweepstakes can provide additional resources for such worthy endeavors at a time when many school budgets remain tight.”
