The namesake birds have been delighting patrons of the Flamingo Hotel since 1998. Besides birds, the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat hosts swans, ducks, koi and turtles.

Even Casino Boy doesn't want to stay inside the casino forever. There are far too many popular Las Vegas outdoor attractions to experience. Travelers can discover the beauty of nature when they aren't hiding away in a Las Vegas hotel. So when the flashy lights and cigarette smoke become overwhelming, check out these fun, outdoor attractions and exhibits.

The Bellagio Gardens
The Bellagio Gardens and Conservatory at the Bellagio hotel is one of the most relaxing things to do in Las Vegas. Horticulture experts rearrange the garden every season, so each visit is different from the last. Ponds, gazebos, fountains and bridges complement the stunning, exotic floral displays. The themed garden is most spectacular on Chinese New Year, where Asian decor meets inspired botany. The Bellagio is not exactly budget friendly, but it’s nice to know Cheapos can walk around in circles outside the hotel to see all the free attractions. Bring on the Bellagio Fountains!

Flamingo Wildlife Habitat
The Flamingo Wildlife Habitat is one of the best outdoor activities in Las Vegas and is open to the public. This 15 acre habitat is home to more than 300 birds, including the Chilean flamingo. Sometimes travelers may even see a penguin waddling through the habitat. The namesake birds have been delighting patrons of the Flamingo Hotel since 1998. Besides birds, the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat hosts swans, ducks, koi and turtles. There is even a babbling man made waterfall and lush green foliage. This is a laid back, subtle attraction (especially for Las Vegas). The Flamingo Wildlife Habitat is a great destination for children and cheapos alike.

Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat
A Las Vegas mainstay since 1990, The Secret Garden at the Mirage Hotel was the vision of world renowned performers Siegfried and Roy. The namesake magicians hosted a show at the Mirage from 1990-2003 that featured trained, rare white tigers. The natural habitat puts guests face to face with not only rare white tigers, but white lions, panthers, leopards and dolphins as well. Tickets are $19.95 dollars for adults and $14.95 for children. The center strives to promote wildlife education and scientific research. The Mirage Secret Garden is a peaceful environment, where visitors can observe the beautiful creatures in a natural state while enjoying a botanical wonderland. True animal lovers can opt to create a work of art alongside the playful bottlenose dolphins or become an honorary dolphin trainer for the day.

The Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country. Located just 40 minutes away from the Las Vegas, this natural wonder is a must-see for all ages. It’s almost ironic how Las Vegas tries so hard to industrialize and glamourize the land, when there’s so much natural beauty in Nevada. Hike down the sloping cliffs and kayak across the Colorado river. For the ambitious adventurer, book a trip with Best Las Vegas Tours for a hassle free Grand Canyon vacation. Daring visitors can walk on The Grand Canyon Skywalk, an attraction that features a transparent plank suspended 898 feet above the ground (way cooler than Ghostbar).
