At the new summer camp in Las Vegas, students learn everything from video game design to app programming, web design, and movie making.
Campbell, CA (PRWEB) February 14, 2012
iD Tech Camps has added a Las Vegas summer camp held at UNLV to its collection of 60+ university locations nationwide. The Las Vegas summer camp will hold weeklong day and overnight tech programs that teach kids and teens fun tech skills in small classes.
iD, the leader in summer technology education, hosts all of its programs at prestigious universities, giving students a taste of college life and allowing them to explore campuses where they may one day wish to attend college. Classes have a maximum size of 8, so instructors can work with students 1-on-1 to develop their interests and abilities.
94% of iD alumni go on to attend a 4 year university, and the skills that they learn at camp, both hard skills and soft skills, are instrumental in turning their interests into potential careers.
At the new summer camp in Las Vegas, students learn everything from video game design to app programming, web design, and movie making. All students create final projects for each session that showcase their new tech skills and help show the practical applications of what they’ve learned. Alumni have gone on to publish iPhone® apps, write books on programming, start web design businesses, and more.
UNLV is only one of many new locations offered by iD Tech Camps for Summer 2012. In addition to the Nevada summer camp, iD will also start hosting a New Mexico summer camp at UNM and a Massachusetts summer camp at Amherst College. New locations for iD’s teen-only programs (iD Gaming Academy, iD Programming Academy, and iD Visual Arts Academy) include the University of Texas at Austin, Duke, Princeton, UCLA, and more.
