We have found a model that works in bringing Las Vegas to the masses by offering viewers a daily mix of 'snack size' video content showcasing niche Vegas industries, such as the celebrity and entertainment scene, gaming and poker, mixed martial arts, and of course, tourism

RawVegas.tv, the world's first and only online video channel broadcasting professionally-produced programming about Las Vegas 365 days a year, is celebrating the one-year anniversary since its full launch on Thursday, March 27. From its studios located just off the famed Las Vegas strip, RawVegas.tv has produced more than 1,100 original videos over the past 12 months that have been viewed nearly 35 million times, making it the leading online destination for young adults seeking an unfiltered look at what happens every single day in the world's most exciting city.

With more than 30 original programs broadcasting on-demand to up to 100,000 unique visitors a day, RawVegas.tv offers viewers a variety of entertaining, informative and often irreverent programming. Among the daily mix of content featured on the site include a daily entertainment news show, regular reviews of restaurants and attractions, an insider's guide to the hottest nightclubs, red carpet interviews with today's hottest celebrities, a fast-paced sports handicapping show, a number of comedy programs, and a slate of reality series starring an array of Las Vegas personalities, including the biggest names in poker and mixed martial arts.

"We have found a model that works in bringing Las Vegas to the masses by offering viewers a daily mix of 'snack size' video content showcasing niche Vegas industries, such as the celebrity and entertainment scene, gaming and poker, mixed martial arts, and of course, tourism," said Steve "Chops" Preiss, President of RawVegas.tv. "All of these areas have a very unique presence in Las Vegas and also large online audiences."

One of the biggest content channels driving visitors to RawVegas.tv is its celebrity red carpet interviews and exclusive videos. With A-list celebrities flocking to Las Vegas year round to enjoy the city's nightlife, RawVegas.tv has become a leading source for breaking celebrity news, and its cameras and reporters have been present on every major red carpet this past year. Giving RawVegas.tv an edge over traditional television outlets is its ability to broadcast online reports from major events and red carpets in just a matter of a few hours after they take place.

"Whether it's Richard Branson's jumping off the side of the Palms Casino or Paris Hilton dedicating her Halloween costume to the troops in Iraq, RawVegas.tv is there with its cameras on, and we're the first to get it out for public consumption," noted Preiss. "The immediacy in which we can turn a video around and get it online has been a key factor of our success."

Another area in which RawVegas.tv has found success is its content channel focused on mixed martial arts, arguably the fastest-growing sport in the world. With Las Vegas the epicenter of this booming sport, RawVegas.tv has developed a number of MMA-themed programs that appeal to the sport's legion of fans, including its "Road To" series that offers a glimpse into the daily routines of top fighters as they prepare for a UFC match. Additionally, video coverage of major MMA press conferences like Randy Couture's retirement and interview programs such as "MMA Fix" have established RawVegas.tv as a leading online video source for fighting news.

"We had a tremendous first year that saw us producing a great variety of Las Vegas-specific content that was local in nature yet compelling to a worldwide audience," noted Preiss. "We're excited to build upon that formula moving forward."

Looking forward, viewers to RawVegas.tv can expect to see more of the same entertaining programming with an increase in travel-related video content such as a new "Cheap in Vegas" series.

RawVegas.tv is also planning to add a ticketing function that would allow visitors to book hotel and entertainment packages right on the RawVegas.tv site--or through its video player.

"We've been fortunate to grow substantial traffic virally through the embedding of our video player on major websites," said Preiss. "But with that comes the challenge of monetizing that traffic. So we've developed the ability to link to and launch multiple call-to-actions or promotions in our videos as well as on our video player."

"Our goal is to become the central online hub for all things Las Vegas, and a big part of this will be ticketing," shared Preiss. "We're now aggressively moving towards launching an integrated ticketing platform on RawVegas.tv. As the typical Vegas traveler continues to skew younger, we're uniquely positioned to provide the entertainment and hotel packages for this demo in addition to offering them entertaining video content."
