LATISTA Technologies, the leader in quality and field management solutions for construction, announces the release of LATISTA version 5.0. The new version introduces an advanced document management system for electronic documents, which synchronizes documents between the central repository and tablets on a jobsite. The new system will create paperless construction environments that eliminate ineffective documents exchange and high paper expenses.

LATISTA’s new version 5.0 will eliminate high total cost of paper documents including costs of managing, ordering, printing/copying, archiving, delivering and shredding. The software will successfully manage documents digitally throughout the project life-cycle and instantly reduce paper expenses. This software is much more time- and cost-efficient than printing each document and updates during the entire project- a contribution to green building.

LATISTA Web and Apple iPad / Microsoft tablet provide a convenient way to work with electronic documents including all building information modeling (BIM) types. All modifications made to a document by an authorized project team member on LATISTA Web from any remote computer will be seamlessly transferred into the central repository and then propagated to tablets of all field users automatically. The new version will track user activities with a history of document creation, access, and edits with all project records. The system also manages all possible conflicts automatically. It is critical that field users are able to open, view, and edit files offline while preventing concurrent modification of files.

Andrei Lavrov, CEO, LATISTA said: “We recognize how important collaboration is between members of an on-site project team and off-site parties like owners and architects, and we’re proud to be the first to combine document management with a field-proven automation solution. We’ve already had reports from projects that they’re reducing their printing costs on the jobsite by 40% by replacing paper processes with digital automation.”

Chris Ramsey, EVP, LATISTA adds: “All of our updates are done with our customers and users in mind. Being able to meet the market’s need for secure, convenient document management in our solution will help project teams eliminate paper and associated costs while at the same time advancing their BIM initiatives.”
