Premium aftermarket lighting company, Lazer Star, is seeking videos of off road enthusiasts riding and driving at night. The Power of Light Video Contest highlights Lazer Star's new series of LED Light Bars. Videos of jeeps, ATVs, UTVs, and trucks using Lazer Star's products lighting up the night are perfect entries.

The YouTube video contest runs through September 30. The top three winners will receive a set of Lazer Star LX LED Discovery Spot Lights.

“For 20 years Lazer Star Lights have been found in the dunes, in the mountains, on back roads, and in the forest,” says Ryan Paine, Vice President of Business Development. “The YouTube contest will give us a chance to get to know who our customers are and how they are using our products.”

To enter, participants must create a video between 2-5 minutes in length. The video should be uploaded to YouTube and then posted to Lazer Star’s Facebook page. It must contain background information about the rider/driver and how he or she uses the product to “Light up the Night.” “We want to know what the power of light means to our customers,” says Paine. “The videos that best illustrate this idea will be the winners.”

Here’s what the judges will be looking for:

  • Originality: We like to see the roots of our customers and the local terrain they tackle. What makes them tick? It doesn't need to be an autobiography, just some idea of who the rider is.
  • Creativity: The door is wide open here. No guidelines, no strict criteria. Just a rider, a camera, and Lazer Star set ups.
  • Performance: Show how the lights perform in action.

The Requirements
Video entries must:

  • Have at least one shot and/or explanation (audio or text) of the Lazer Star Lights set up.
  • Be between 2-5 minutes in duration.
  • Be uploaded on Youtube and posted to the Lazer Lights Facebook for submission.
  • Must be submitted by September 30, 2012 by 12pm, PST.

The Rules:
All music, images, video footage and other content must be either originally produced by the person uploading the contest entry, or proper permissions must be authorized by the copyright owner. Proper permissions must include the right for the contest entry uploader to use the content in a commercial venture. Likewise, it is the responsibility of the contest entry uploader to ensure that all permissions are in place for use of actors’ and/or models’ likenesses.

Contestants must be at least 14 years old (or the age of majority in your country, state or province of residence) to submit Content to the Site. To participate in this Lazer Star Lights contest, you must comply with the rules of this brief, and with the general contest rules, which can be found in the Contest Submission Agreement on the website.
