Apple game players who have been waiting with bated breath for an iPhone-compatible version of the widely popular Leapin’ Leprechaun Lite can exhale. The iPhone version of the game that they have been clamoring for will make its first appearance in the iTunes App Store very soon. They can watch for Leapin’ Leprechaun Lite - the iPhone version - that's expected to debut around April 10–12, 2012.
Since its release just prior to St. Patrick’s Day, the highly popular Leapin’ Leprechaun game had been available only for the iPad, leaving the 70 million individuals who bought an iPhone in 2011 out of the fun. All of that is about to change, however, with the release of the Leapin’ Leprecahaun Lite for the iPhone on iTunes.
The official launch of the Apple smartphone version of the game will take place sometime around April 10–12, 2012, and if the track record of the iPad version is any indication, it will quickly rise to the top of the iTunes App Store rankings. “Just one week into our debut and we had already reached #39 on the Top 50 free apps list,” says William McCarthy, Leapin’ Leprechaun’s lead designer, of the iPad variation. With 233% more iPhone owners than iPad possessors, Leapin’ Leprechaun Lite iPhone version could easily top that achievement.
Featuring the smack-talking Paddy the Leprechaun, but rated 4+ by iTunes for no objectionable material, Leapin’ Leprechaun Lite is proving particularly popular with 7- to 16-year-olds, and their parents are loving that it’s appropriate for such an age range as well. One iTunes reviewer commends it this way, “Overall game play is simple enough for the whole family to enjoy, yet tough enough to keep you playing for hours upon hours on end.” It is glowing endorsements like this one that are sure to have iPhone users lining up for Leapin’ Leprechaun Lite download.
