Cequent Consumer Products brand Reese® Towpower has launched a new line of custom hitch covers that light up with auto manufacturer logos. A first for the auto aftermarket parts industry, these one of a kind, officially licensed, newly patented, Lighted Hitch Covers and Emblems gives auto enthusiasts a way to customize their hitches with auto manufacturer branding for the first time. The lighted Hitch Covers and Emblems have already received recognition as a best new product for the automotive aftermarket industry being awarded “Best in Category-Cool Cars” award at the November 2010 Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The award recognizes new products that are unique, fun to use and enhance the driving experience.

“For the first time in the auto aftermarket products industry, consumers can personalize their hitches and 'Take Pride in their Ride' by adding our new lighted logo emblems and the light up LED powered hitch covers,” said Cequent Consumer Sr. Product Manager, Jerry Corless.

The one of a kind Lighted Hitch Cover logos and lighted emblems are available in Ford, Ram, GMC, and the Chevy Bow-Tie. The hitch covers and emblems appear as standard logo covers by day and illuminate at night with the running light, when the vehicle brakes and with use of the hazard lights. The award winning hitch covers and emblems Fit 1.25” & 2” hitches and require no tools for a simple installation. A “Try Me” button is featured on the package and allows consumers to test the cool new feature for themselves before purchasing.

The new lighted hitch covers and emblems debuted exclusively in January to Cequent retail partner, AutoZone. They are available in thousands of select AutoZone stores nationwide and by special order.
