Everblue is helping to transform unemployed workers into leaders for the new green economy

Everblue Training Institute, provider of LEED certification (http://www.everblueenergy.com/leed-accredited-professional.html) and LEED courses, has begun a coordinated effort to assist the unemployed in exploring new job options. It has established a streamlined process, in addition to providing a dedicated coordinator, to help the unemployed become leading forces in the green economy. Through Everblue's new program, unemployed workers can find local unemployment counseling resources and receive help in filling out government grant paperwork to get their training paid for.

"Everblue is helping to transform unemployed workers into leaders for the new green economy," said Cadi Saunders, Program Manager for Everblue Training Institute. "Our services enable qualified individuals to take advantage of opportunities which shouldn't be missed just because they are in circumstances beyond their control."

Everblue training courses for LEED certification, in addition to paving the way for a valuable qualification, provide networking opportunities for the unemployed, which are invaluable in tough economic times. Trainees are advised to bring their business cards and handle the course as if it is an industry networking event. Among the participants in the courses are developers, investors, building owners, small business owners, and Vice Presidents from national corporations. Any one of them could be potential employers for unemployed attendees.

"Candidates are advised on how to market themselves with their new credential as well as how to let prospective employers understand what LEED Certification means," added Saunders. "Once they are onboard, candidates can put their LEED Green Associate credential, for example, on their business cards, resumes, and email signature blocks."

Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, LEED has become the most distinguished and accepted environmental design and green building certification. Everblue offers the LEED exam for several LEED certification courses, including Solar Professional and Energy Auditor Certifications. All LEED courses teach participants about sustainable green building practices for certification as well as their own self-instruction.
