Janice Hayes of the Boston law firm Sugarman and Sugarman was recently elected president of the Association of Legal Administrators Boston Chapter.
Boston, MA (PRWEB) July 14, 2009 -- Janice Hayes, Firm Administrator at Sugarman (http://www.sugarman.com) has been elected President of the Boston Chapter Association of Legal Administrators and will serve a one- year term effective May 2009.
The Association of Legal Administrators was founded in 1971 with a membership of 100 and now has over 10,000 members worldwide, including 30 countries. The ALA promotes and enhances the competence and professionalism of all members of the legal management team; improves the quality of management in law firms and other legal services organizations and represents professional legal management to the legal community and to the community at large.
The Boston Chapter ALA is one of the largest chapters of The Association of Legal Administrators with a local membership of 198 Executive Directors, Firm Administrators and Legal Managers representing private firms as well as Corporate and Governmental legal departments.
Ms. Hayes began employment with the personal injury law firm Sugarman 24 years ago and has been a member of both the Boston Chapter ALA and The Association of Legal Administrators for 11 years. She has been an active member of the Boston Chapter and served as Chair of the Community Relations Committee for two years, Chair of Educational Programs for two years and served one year as President-Elect.
