“Jim’s candid, commonsense approach might give many people the confidence to jump out of their cubicles and start down their own road of entrepreneurship,” said Dan Bischoff, co-host of Entrepreneur Addiction and director of communications at Lendio.
Beach wrote the book, “School for Startups” to help give grounded, simple ideas that will help people start successful businesses. Things, he says, that have been forgotten in recent years.
“When my mom read it, she said, ‘There’s nothing new in there. It’s full of old-fashioned common sense.’ That’s the way it’s meant to be,” Beach said. “We’re going back to the way we did it 50 years ago.”
In the end, Beach says successful entrepreneurship is not about creativity, passion, and risk. There’s one thing, he says, that determines successful business owners, no matter the industry.
“What makes you successful is getting off the sofa,” Beach says in the podcast.
