Interplay 2010 Will Explore Trends That Drive Innovation and Success in Today’s Marketing Ecosystem

LEVEL Studios, an independent digital agency, today announced that James McQuivey, Ph.D., Vice President and Principal Analyst at Forrester Research, Inc. will keynote Interplay 2010, the agency’s fifth annual client summit. Interplay is an exclusive 2-day event slated for September 16th - 17th on California’s Central Coast that connects LEVEL clients and industry experts on relevant and thought provoking topics.

James analyzes television and media technologies and specializes in the future of the moving image, including digital video recorders, HDTV, video on demand, Internet-based video and their business implications. He previously led Consumer Technographics ® North America, Forrester’s unparalleled consumer research effort as a vice president and research director.

In February 2010, Forrester published a report authored by James titled, “What People Really Need: Building a Needs Based Product Strategy.” Serving consumer product strategy professionals, his involvement in this year’s Interplay will focus on defining opportunities for innovation with product manufacturers and the consumer brands whose audiences engage with those products.

The report states, “For the past 18 months, we have painstakingly constructed a fundamental, systematic model of what consumers really need. Our goal was to construct a model that not only explains consumer behavior but that also produces real tools for designing products and services that meet more of those needs, more consistently, than was ever required before.”

James will dive into these needs with Interplay attendees to look beyond individual product or platform strategies and get straight to the underlying drivers of exceptional experiences. He joins a speaker lineup of industry thought leaders and clients, including Stu Aaron, CMO of Bloom Energy, to share his insights and collaborate on the future of consumer interactivity.

For attendees, Interplay 2010 will demonstrate how branded content, technology platforms and connected devices work together to grow brands and strengthen consumer interactions. It will explore trends that drive innovation and success in today’s marketing ecosystem, while giving attendees a chance to deepen relationships with their agency teams, peers and industry leaders.
