HERNDON, Va., Oct. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Liberty IT Solutions (Liberty) is excited to partner again with Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to support our Veterans and those who provide care to them.
Liberty has been awarded a task order for the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) Enhancements Phase 2 (EP2) to provide improved functionality that will facilitate review and documentation of coordinated patient care information and improved accessibility of online clinical information and results. Work on this 3-year (12-month base and two 12-month option periods) task order potentially amounts to $11.4 Million.
CPRS provides patient records for clinicians, managers, Quality Assurance (QA) staff, and researchers in a secure and efficient system that is easy to use. Our work will expand the current interface that is integrated with Veterans Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA). In the process, CPRS will undergo significant changes that will improve efficiencies for clinicians and enhance safety for our nation's Veterans in many areas of patient care, including pharmacy, patient nutrition, and efficient and timely access to patient records necessary for critical patient care decisions.

As an organization that is focused on Veterans, and particularly on Healthcare IT, updating the CPRS system is an important task to Liberty and one that closely aligns with the core of the Liberty IT Solutions mission statement and business practices.
