Lifebroker CEO, Chris Eade, said the service lets consumers compare quotes and buy insurance from any of New Zealand's life insurance companies, directly over the internet and without having to see a financial adviser.

By providing quotes for life, income, trauma and disablement insurance for all New Zealand life insurers, consumers can find the cheapest insurance relevant to their life stage and circumstance.

Mr Eade said the service was aimed at a fast-growing group of consumers who like to use the internet to shop around before they buy.

"Consumers can use the service, available at lifebroker.com.nz, to get a quote from all New Zealand insurers based on their personal circumstances."

"They can then buy directly from the website without having to personally see a financial adviser, which can be time consuming and costly," Mr Eade said.

The service is the first of its kind in New Zealand, where insurance is traditionally sold through financial advisers on a 'face-to-face' basis.

Lifebroker is one of Australia's largest life insurance brokers with operations in Australia, the United Kingdom and now New Zealand.

Lifebroker's internet insurance service has generated 55 per cent client growth year-on-year since 2003 and with total clients now numbering over 7,000 and growing 100 per cent in the last 15 months.

Lifebroker expects to provide over 40,000 insurance quotes this financial year, and revenue to grow 65 per cent.
