The new process dips ionizer titanium plates in platinum four times to build up a thicker coating of platinum. Previously, LIFE Ionizers double-dipped the titanium plates in platinum to achieve a thickness of .25 microns. The Quadruple-dipping process enables LIFE Ionizers to increase plate coating thickness by .50 microns to reach a thickness of .75 microns.
The new thicker-coated plates mean that LIFE Ionizers’ plates have the thickest platinum coating in the industry. LIFE Ionizer’s nearest competitors plates are coated to a thickness of .25 microns.
The new, thicker plates are being used in LIFE Ionizer 7700 and 9000 series models. Testing performed by LIFE Ionizers has shown that the thicker coating would improve power distribution, and ensure that the plates were durable enough to last the lifetime of the water ionizer.
Thicker Coated Plates are guaranteed for Life
LIFE Ionizers has a lifetime guarantee on the new, thicker plates on 7700 and 9000 series LIFE Ionizers.
About Water Ionizer Plates
The platinum coated plates are where water is ionized in a water ionizer. Ionizer plates are made of titanium, and then coated with platinum to improve the plates’ conductivity. Platinum is used as a coating for ionizer plates because it has excellent electrical conductivity.
LIFE Ionizers Chief Executive Visionary, Rick H. Cabados states that the new, thicker coated plates add to the cost of manufacturing our ionizers, but LIFE will not be increasing the cost to consumers: “Quadruple-dipping our plates means we put more platinum in our ionizers, but increased sales worldwide of our water ionizers allows us to absorb the additional cost.”
