To build awareness and activism around its consumer wellness education campaign “Life…supplemented,” the CRN Foundation today announced the formation of the campaign’s Social Media Advisory Board. The board members will guide the social media initiative to motivate Americans to make the three pillars of health – a healthy diet, responsible use of supplements, and regular exercise – an integral part of their daily wellness regimen.
“The campaign was conceived in 2006 to help individuals create a healthier lifestyle and offer educational, actionable information with the My Wellness Scorecard tool,” said Judy Blatman, senior vice president, communications, Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) and a CRN Foundation Board member. “Now the campaign is engaging more actively in social media and it is a natural progression for us to take the wellness message directly to millions of people who are increasingly spending more and more time online. We are extremely gratified to have thought leaders within the health and wellness social networks to help us harness the power of social media and ignite a passion for healthy living.”
The “Life…supplemented” Social Media Advisory Board members include seven influential bloggers with an interest in wellness issues:
- Andrea Metcalf, Fit Today, AndreaMetcalf.com
- Cascia Talbert, Healthy Moms, TheHealthyMoms.net
- Christine Peterson, Foresight, Foresight.org
