LIFT AIDS, INC., one of the oldest automotive adaptive equipment dealers and accessibility lift providers in the United States, is proud to furnish the new George W. Bush Presidential Center with state-of-the-art vertical platform lifts, providing access for people with disabilities.
Currently being constructed on the campus of Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, The George W. Bush Presidential Center, known as the Bush Center, will include the George W. Bush Presidential Library and the George W. Bush Institute. The Bush Center features unique and environmentally-friendly construction and design. The vertical platform lifts from LIFT AIDS, INC. will ensure that everyone has access to the Bush Center’s vast resources.
LIFT AIDS, INC. is an independent elevator contractor, licensed by the State of Texas and WBE certified to furnish and install Elevators, Dumb Waiters, Chairlifts, Inclined Stairlifts, Limited Use/Limited Access Elevators and Vertical Platform Lifts eliminating architectural barriers and providing access for people with disabilities. All LIFT AIDS, INC. employees pass thorough background and drug tests as well as fingerprinting.
Known for their high-caliber work, LIFT AIDS, INC. is a respected leader in providing solutions to architectural barriers. Contracted by Manhattan Construction Company, who is providing construction management services for the project, LIFT AIDS, INC. is installing three Garaventa Vertical Shaftway Lifts in the center, near the auditorium. The Genesis Vertical Platform Lift, Shaftway Model has a lifting capacity of 750lbs and can provide access up to 14 feet.
LIFT AIDS, INC. worked previously with the Manhattan Construction Company when they installed Garaventa Genesis Vertical Platform Lifts in Dallas Cowboys Stadium. The Enclosure Model lifts provide access to the main bowl seating from the club level.
Estimated completion time for the George W. Bush Presidential Center is 2013.
