Lighthouse and TS Sports are providing Lighthouse’s GreenLine™ HD10 LED video displays to the Circuit of the Americas, the new host of the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix™, in Austin, Texas.
The GreenLine Series includes the HD8, HD10 and HD12 LED video panels. All panels are RoHS compliant and deliver spectacular brightness (7,000 nits) with an ultra-high contrast ratio. In addition to Lighthouse’s trademark excellent image resolution and uniformity, the GreenLine series costs less and consumes 30% less power than its competition, while delivering the same pixel quality. The HD10 has a sharp 10mm effective resolution.
The installation at COTA includes two grandstand displays measuring 21’ wide by 12.6’ high, three LED video pit displays, each measuring nearly 30’ wide by 16’ high, and sixteen (16) additional Lighthouse LED video displays measuring 25’ wide by 16’ high. With close to 4 million individual LEDs, Circuit of the Americas’ new LED video system promises a new standard in F1 fan immersion.
“Lighthouse is excited about working with the Circuit of the Americas,” says Ed Whitaker, Lighthouse N.A.S.A. director of sales. “Combining our leading technology with the world’s most advanced F1 cars is going to give Grand Prix fans in the US an unrivalled race day experience."
Circuit Of The Americas is a multi-purpose facility that will host the most prestigious racing events in the world, including the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix. It is the first purpose-built Grand Prix facility in the U.S. Built around a state-of-the-art 3.4-mile circuit track with capacity for 120,000 fans and an elevation change of 133 feet, the facility is designed for any and all classes of racing – from motor power, to human power.
