For women who are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or even postpartum, keeping fit is important
Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) December 18, 2012
Calum Wilson and Ross Lucas have seen first-hand the benefits of their tailored prenatal and postnatal personal training sessions for women. Recognizing the increasing desire of women to stay in the best shape possible during pregnancy and beyond, the team has now launched a personal training service just for this group - Limitless Health and Fitness.
“For women who are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or even postpartum, keeping fit is important” explained Calum Wilson. “We are prenatal and postnatal qualified personal trainers who will safely and effectively help them meet the challenges of pregnancy.”
Mr Wilson, who gained his sport and exercise science degree at the University of Gloucestershire in 2005, has designed tailored packages that will efficiently monitor and track progress, provide nutritional information and offer ongoing support and advice.
The Limitless Health and Fitness packages have been designed to help women maintain a healthy weight, strengthen pelvic floor muscles, and to prepare for childbirth.
“Much of what we do is common sense” said Ross Lucas, also a degree qualified personal trainer. “The better shape you’re in, the stronger you’ll be come labor and delivery time.”
“Our fitness regimes don’t stop at childbirth, however” explained Mr Lucas.
“According to a Melbourne University study, exercise in the first three months after delivery can cut the chances of postnatal depression by fifty percent - so this too, is an area of focus for us.”
The Limitless Health and Fitness programs are not group fitness classes. They are one-on-one personal training sessions that include nutritional advice.
Sydney’s Northern Beaches has been announced as the service’s flagship, operating out of Fitness First Platinum in Balgowlah.
