With advanced subscriptions, posts can be filtered by keywords and price. ListListener.com is the only available online service that monitors Craigslist and similar sites for users without the need for special software or dedicated computers.

The automated online service monitors Craigslist and others for new posts 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. When the service finds a new post that matches what the end user was looking for - perhaps a new job or a deal on a used mobile phone - the service automatically sends an email to the user notifying them of the new post. The email notification contains a hyperlink to the particular post, saving the user time by providing a direct route to the information. Neither Craigslist nor Kijiji offer real-time email subscription services.
