Cats are wonderful pets, but we all hate cleaning out the litter box
Pontiac, MI (Vocus) March 5, 2010
PONTIAC, Mich. – March 4, 2010 – Tired of cleaning out the cat’s litter box? Tune into Lifetime Television’s morning show, The Balancing Act, on March 9, 2010 at 7am EST/PST and learn how cat litter management has never been easier. Brad Baxter, President of Automated Pet Care Products will talk about the Litter-Robot, a space-age solution that cleans the litter-box for pet owners and saves them money on wasted litter and time in their busy schedules. The segment will be rebroadcast again on March 30 and April 13.
The Litter-Robot was designed to free pet owners from the chore of scooping the litter box and provides a reliable, low maintenance automatic self-cleaning litter box that works with any clumping litter. The large waste drawer holds several days’ worth of waste and gives pet owners the time and freedom to do the things that they enjoy, while spending less time worrying about their cat’s litter box.
“Cats are wonderful pets, but we all hate cleaning out the litter box,” Brad Baxter, President of Automated Pet Products. “We are excited to work with the team at the Balancing Act and share the Litter-Robot with their viewers. It’s the perfect litter management solution to help cat owners save time and money, while keeping their cats ‘green’ and happy.”
Here’s how the Litter-Robot works.
Seven minutes after a cat uses the litter box, the Litter-Robot automatically rotates and its patented litter sifting process gently separates the waste clumps from the litter and deposits it into a waste drawer lined with a plastic bag, leaving behind a clean bed of litter for the cat.
Once the bag is full (about a week of single cat use or more often if you have multiple cats), pet owners simply open the waste drawer, pull out the bag, tie it up and throw it away. No litter box scooping is needed and pet odors have been greatly reduced.
The Litter-Robot is environmentally friendly because it doesn’t require expensive waste receptacles, chemical cartridges, water hook ups or expensive bags that are used with other automated litter boxes. The Litter-Robot waste drawer works with inexpensive standard 8 and 13-gallon biodegradable garbage bags or recycled large grocery store bags. Pet owners have reported up to a 50% savings in cat litter usage as compared with traditional litter boxes and have helped to lessen their cat’s environmental paw print by reducing the landfill input from litter waste.
The Litter-Robot has also gone green with the introduction of its ECO Unit last year. The ECO Unit Litter-Robot is constructed with high quality, durable, industrial-grade components built to last and uses 100% recycled plastics in 84% of all the plastic components.
