The University of Arkansas Department of Theatre has added a new performance space for their 2015-2016 season.

The Department of Theatre will now be producing shows in the Global Campus Theatre, located in the University of Arkansas Global Campus Building on the Fayetteville square.

The annual Undergraduate Project will be performed in the space in November 2015. The department's second collaboration with the African and African American Studies program, “The Motherf**ker with the Hat” by Stephen Adly Guirgis, will also be performed there in February 2016.

Productions at Global Campus will be offered as part of the Studio Series. Other Studio shows will still be performed in Studio 404, in Kimpel Hall. The Mainstage Series will remain in the University Theatre, located in the Fine Arts Center.

The Global Campus building is located at 2 East Center Street, Fayetteville, AR 72701. Tickets will be $10 per adult, $8 per senior or UA faculty/staff, and $5 per student. Shows will typically run one weekend, Thursday through Saturday, with all performances starting at 7:30 p.m.

The University of Arkansas Department of Theatre has been providing exciting and affordable live theatre for more than 60 years. They combine a first-rate theatrical education full of hands-on experience with a wide selection of titles to challenge their students and delight the community. The Theatre Department produces eight to 10 shows each year: four large-scale productions at the University Theatre and four to six smaller shows in the Studio Series.
