Foodies, mark your calendars: On March 15 hot spot San Francisco restaurant Locavore and Carmel Valley’s Galante Vineyards are hosting an exclusive Winemaker Dinner event to raise money for the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center and for Saint Vincent de Paul.

Locavore, located at 3215 Mission Street in Bernal Heights, will open its doors to and kick up its heels with Galante to create both an unforgettable evening and a difference in the community. It begins promptly at 6 pm, with head chef Jason Moinz headlining the evening preparing his notoriously delicious fare.

“We are thrilled to pair our wines with this wonderful restaurant and we look forward to a lively, fun evening,” said a representative from Galante. “We are also excited about Locavore’s initiative as a locally conscious restaurant to provide a portion of the proceeds to local charities.”

The reservations-only Winemaker Dinner costs $88, 10% of which will be donated to the Bernal Heights Neighborhood Center and to Saint Vincent de Paul.

Locavore is a San Francisco restaurant that specializes in preparing foods made only from ingredients purchased from farms within 100 miles of the City. They work with a network of about 25 farms and ranches that report fresh food availability to Executive Chef Jason Moniz daily.
