Local Wisdom won five awards—two gold, two silver and one bronze—at the 48th Annual Art Directors Club of New Jersey Awards Show held Friday, May 20 at the Birchwood Manor in Whippany, N.J. The awards recognize Local Wisdom’s hand drawn illustrations and marketing website for its new weather app, Weatherwise.
Local Wisdom took home the gold in the Mobile App category for Weatherwise and and its associated weather themes. The app and themes also received two silver awards in the Miscellaneous Illustration category. A bronze award was bestowed in the Product/Service Promotion Website category for the Weatherwise website, http://www.weatherwiseapp.com.

The competition this year was high. We saw excellent agencies and talented artists showcase compelling work. I am very proud of my team for being recognized not once, but five times.”
RJay Haluko, Creative Director, and Tim Jaeger, Sr. Information Architect, were recognized during Friday’s awards. RJay’s hand-drawn illustrations and Tim’s development expertise were key components in producing Weatherwise. Three interns from The College of New Jersey helped program the app including Ryan Bailey, Chris Smith and Patrick Pierson. Available for iPhone and Android, Weatherwise is a visually entertaining way to view the weather, encompassing animated landscapes and personas complements of the creative ingenuity of the Haluko/Jaeger team.
The Art Directors Club of New Jersey (ADCNJ) is a statewide, non-profit organization of art directors, graphic designers, illustrators, and other creative professionals.
