Model Your Business - Not Just Your Process
Austin, Texas (PRWEB) July 19, 2007 -
Lombardi® (http://www.lombardi.com ), the leader in Business Process Management (BPM) software for Global 2000 companies, today announced that Jim Rudden, the company's director of product marketing, will be discussing how to easily translate high-level goals into detailed business processes as part of the third annual BPM Think Tank 2007 presented by the Object Management Group (OMG). Lombardi is a platinum co-sponsor of the event. The three-day conference will be held on July 23-25, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport, in Burlingame, California.
Mr. Rudden will present a case study session entitled "Model Your Business - Not Just Your Process," on Tuesday, July 24 at 1:15 p.m. PT. During the session, attendees will learn how to get a more complete view of their business - beyond the BPMN and UML diagrams they have today. Mr. Rudden will highlight an on-demand, web-based tool that provides traceability from high-level goals to detailed process definitions. This tool also provides the most advanced implementation of the Business Process Definition Metamodel (BPDM) standard to date - enabling true portability of process information.
Additionally, Phil Gilbert, Lombardi's executive vice president and CTO, is a co-chair of the event's program committee. He shares that role with Paul Harmon, Co-Founder, Executive Editor and Senior Market Analyst at Business Process Trends. Mr. Gilbert is the elected chairperson of OMG's Business Process Management Steering Committee, which provides Business Process Management thought leadership and expertise for the entire industry through education programs, public advocacy, and advice to the combined BPM standards work at OMG.
"BPM Think Tank is where the participants share real world BPM success and failures, and have these dialogs in small group discussions with practicing experts from around the world," said Gilbert. "Interested in discussing how process maturity can help double the productivity of your people? Join ten others at a roundtable hosted by the co-author of the Business Process Maturity Model. Having difficulty selling BPM or SOA inside your organization? Speak with peers from within your industry for tips and techniques on how they tackled the problem. Think Tank is different from any other conference due to its focus on these small roundtable discussions."
The third annual BPM Think Tank event will focus on the value of BPM standards featuring case studies, tips and tricks and key note presentations designed to help both business and IT organizations work together to maximize their investment in BPM. Think Tank includes presentations from industry luminaries such as Forrester Research analysts Randy Heffner and Colin Teubner, Dr. Bruce Silver, Sandy Kemsley and Derek Miers, as well as David Frankel from SAP, Stephen White from IBM and Antoine Lonjon from MEGA International. User case studies and panel speakers include Bill Curtis from McAfee, Phillippe De Smedt from Visa, Rich Phillips from Maritz, Tony Gardiner from Nedbank, Tim Rolfing from Allianz and Jim Adamczyk from Accenture.
